Hunting June 2010

Paul Barbarotto and Mike Marini

At the end of May, start of June, Paul Barbarotto and Mike Marini from Up State New York hunted with us for the 2nd time in 2 years. Last year Paul harvested a world class Gemsbuck bull, and Mike shot an exceptional Kudu, together with all with all their trophies.

On this trip the hunt started with Mike taking a very good Waterbuck of 32 Inches. The highlight of the hunt, shooting wise, was when Paul dropped a huge Eland bull out of a herd of 40+ Eland running at full pace! Well done Paul! Mike, will we ever forget the Bushbuck hunt? Mike shot a Bushbuck and it fell into a raging river. We thought the trophy was lost, but found it early the next morning 5 miles downstream on a low water bridge.

Daniel Gonzalez

On the 23rd Daniel Gonzalez(Tiger) came in for a short and powerful hunt. While visiting South Africa for the World Cup Soccer Tiger decided to do a little bit of hunting. We managed to bag a total of 11 animals in four days. His highlight was the Warthog he shot at 350 yards off hand while running. This was a magnificent shot that I will remember for a long time.
